Green Up Vermont

Small Non-Profit

Green Up Vermont is the nonprofit that produces Green Up Day. To our knowledge Vermont is the only State in the nation to have a statewide, volunteer clean up program that does so much good for our natural environment.
In 2024 over 30,000 volunteers cleaned up 404 tons of roadside and public space litter and 15,813 tires covering 85% of all town and city roads. We also were successful in our GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title attempt and now hold the world record for the "Most pledges received to clean up litter in 24 hours."

Green Up Vermont works year-round to build environmental stewardship, promote waste reduction, reuse and repurpose tactics and to tell the good stories of our corporate partners. We help build pride in community service that is spread through all age groups, empowering all to make a difference in where we get to live work and play.

"Small acts when multiplied by millions of people, can transform the world." ~ Howard Zinn
