Middlebury Area Land Trust

The Middlebury Area Land Trust (MALT) was founded in 1987 and has conserved over 3,500 acres of land. We manage 30+ miles of trail, including the well known Trail Around Middlebury, educate hundreds of youth in our outdoor classrooms, and partner with other organizations to advance conservation priorities. Our mission statement is: Working with our community to conserve natural and productive landscapes, and to enhance scenic, recreational, and educational opportunities.
