Working Fields submits written testimony to Senate Committee
On April 1, 2025, Mickey Wiles, Founder of Working Fields submitted written testimony to the Senate Government Operations Committee on Early Childhood Educators Licensure.
Dear Committee Members,
As the Founder of a mission-driven staffing agency in Vermont, we work with hundreds of individuals that are seeking jobs with a particular focus on individuals with barriers and challenges. There are many.
When we place a jobseeker in a job we support them with peer coaching to help them navigate all of the barriers and challenges.
One such challenge and many times a barrier, is childcare. We as a State have a responsibility to provide the best childcare possible to ensure we are giving our children and their parents the best chance for success.
I am grateful that we have passed a lot of great legislation regarding childcare and as a member of VBSR, I am also grateful for our support and collaboration with Let’s Grow Kids.
Let’s finish the job and pass S.119 to support the Early Childhood Educators that will provide us a child care system that is effective.
As a business leader and supporter of the people I employ, which can be nearly 100 individuals at any given time, I am asking you to support S.119 and share my support with the committee.
Thank you and best regards,
Stuart “Mickey” Wiles
Founder Working Fields
